Book Review: Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Would you rather know a truth that makes you feel hopeless, or keep believing the lies?

Beloved and bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with the spellbinding story of two young people with devastating pasts who embark on a passionate, intriguing journey to discover the lessons of life, love, trust—and above all, the healing power that only truth can bring.

Sky, a senior in high school, meets Dean Holder, a guy with a promiscuous reputation that rivals her own. From their very first encounter, he terrifies and captivates her. Something about him sparks memories of her deeply troubled past, a time she’s tried so hard to bury. Though Sky is determined to stay far away from him, his unwavering pursuit and enigmatic smile break down her defenses and the intensity of the bond between them grows. But the mysterious Holder has been keeping secrets of his own, and once they are revealed, Sky is changed forever and her ability to trust may be a casualty of the truth.

Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries.
Hopeless is a novel that will leave you breathless, entranced, and remembering your own first love.

When I finished Hopeless, I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY. I was staring blankly at my e-reader trying to process everything and put into words what I really feel about this gorgeous read. Goddds, it took me a month to finally came up with this review. Yes, I still can't get over it until now. The feeling is still there and I always got teary-eyed whenever I think about the story.

HOPELESS is BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN. It was an AMAZING read. I never thought that I would LOVE this book HARD. I kept asking myself why I didn't read it sooner. Coz boy, this is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! I LOVED everything about this book. The characters were perfectly depicted and the story line.. WOW just WOW!! It TURNED MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN! I never felt anything like this before. It was a different experienced.

I adored Sky. What she had been through was heart wrenching. I could feel her pain, the fear, the confusion and betrayal. While reading it, Sky and I became one. My chest tightened and my heart ache with her through those troubled times. I found myself curling like a ball and crying endlessly through it. And Holder.. he's unbelievable! He had he's own demons to fight with and was misunderstood by people who don’t know what he had been through but despite it all,he came up strong. I love Sky and Holder's chemistry. They have a strong connection. They were each other's strength and I love how they remain intact through the mayhem. Despite everything that happened, they stood side by side and faced it all. They were truly destined to be together.

What happened to Sky in the past was happening in real life, people! What she had been through clearly telling us that there will always be a silver lining in every rain cloud. Life is full of pain and struggles but remember that there is always someone out there who would remain by your side and will hold you all throughout.

HOPELESS IS UNDENIABLY COLLEEN HOOVER'S BEST BOOK EVER!! The story was heavy that it consumed me. I can't even remember how many times I had to take a chapter break. And when I read the "revelations" Goodness, I could feel my blood rushing inside me. My heart was beating fast and I was shaking uncontrollably. I was stunned; I didn't saw that one coming. It was a hard blow and I wasn't prepared. This book will surely rock you to the very core. It was like a gaping hole that will leave a mark on you that you will carry on for years.

TO THE BRILLIANT MIND behind this astounding, awe-inspiring, breathtaking, captivating, enthralling, excellent, extraordinary, incredible, jaw dropping, magnificent, marvelous, mind-blowing, outstanding, phenomenal, remarkable, surprising, shocking and superb masterpiece, THANK YOU for this abso-fuCOLLEEN-tastic and HOOVERlicious read. I BUTTERFLYING LOVE it! My wish is to meet you someday to let you know how much I adore you (and let you sign my books, too! ha-ha..)

I couldn't recommend this book enough. Hopeless deserves all the stars you could count up in the sky :)
